Women in tech Digital literacy
Our digital literacy initiative looks to up-skill young women’s ICT skills and competency to meet current ICT demands in West Africa and globally. Through this project we are delivering beginner, intermediate and advanced ICT trainings and master classes. To fill the gap in digital literacy, we provide key trainings to young women, but not limited to the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SPSS, GIS etc. Women’s empowerment is a key factor in determining success of development. We at Sensi understand ICT knowledge can create more opportunities for women. In Africa, over 40% of women are not able to effectively engage ICT tools for personal and professional development. Through this initiative, we look to advanced the application of ICT to girls and women which will in turn translate to equal quality education, which leads to personal development, allowing them to improve their socioeconomic situation and contribute to their community.
